First Puppies

The afternoon of her first birth, about 1 pm, Flavor was ready and very happy!

September 17 at 9:47 pm (Eastern), the first puppy was born during the start of a lunar eclipse! Flavor was scared and didn't understand what had happened. She waited for me to be the midwife...

...then her motherly instincts kicked right in...

More came about every 30 minutes until around 2 am, 8 puppies total, 3 boys first, then 5 girls...

October 5, 2 1/2 weeks old...
